Renewable energy is the future if humans need to save the environment and the planet. The sight of renewable energy sources is now prevalent, and the change is about to come. Beyond the direct employment opportunities offered by the renewable energy sector, the expansion of clean energy may have a favorable economic “ripple” impact on the surrounding economy.

For example, enterprises associated with the renewable energy supply chain will gain, as would unrelated local firms, due to increasing household and company revenues in the area. In addition, local governments get the benefits of clean energy, typically in the form of property and income taxes and other payments from owners of renewable energy projects.

Also, in exchange for granting leases for wind energy projects on their property, landowners often get lease payments ranging from $3,000 to $6,000 per megawatt of installed capacity, as well as compensation for power line easements.
